TC Cancelations and Closures

The goal of our actions is to mitigate the spread of the disease as much as possible. The town is aware that this situation is very fluid and could change at any given time. We will continue to monitor and evaluate if additional changes are needed.



  • Trophy Club Facilities
    • Town Hall and all town facilities will be closed for all access starting, March 20th at 3 pm. Town employees are equipped for remote work capabilities and are/will be provided leave to care for family members, as outlined in the Presidential Order.  Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services will remain in operation at all times. We ensure that our first responders stand ready for any emergency, and are committed to maintaining public safety and the welfare of our residents.
    • TC Fire Station is closed to the public at this time
  • Trophy Club Parks - Facilities and Amenities
    • Park playground equipment
    • Freedom Dog Park
    • Public park restrooms are closed until further notice
    • Portable restrooms located in TC parks such as Freedom Dog Park and Trophy Club Park will be removed
    • TC Park drinking fountains will be closed until further notice
    • TC tennis courts
    • Baseball fields in TC parks
    • Trophy Club Park motocross and north end of the park is flooded, the park will be closed until further notice, only foot traffic will be allowed in the park at this time
  • Northwest Independent School District (NISD)
    • Byron Nelson High School closed until April 6, 2020
    • Medlin Middle School closed until April 6, 2020
    • Beck Elementary School closed until April 6, 2020
    • Lakeview Elementary School closed until April 6


  • Acting on authorization from Austin, the Town Council has notified Denton and Tarrant County election administrators that Trophy Club intends to postpone the 2020 municipal election from May 2 to November 3.  DETAILS HERE 
    • Town Council will meet via Zoom for a Special Council Meeting on Tuesday, March 31 to ratify this decision and move the election from May to November.  To view future agendas, please visit:



  • Cleaning 
    • Staff is currently following CDC guidelines to have buildings cleaned and disinfected on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturdays
    • Increased efforts to disinfect frequently accessed touchpoints in Town Hall such as door handles, bathroom surfaces, community counters, etc.
    • Personal disinfecting wipes have been distributed to staff for computer keyboards, phones and other electronics (more available upon request)
    • The Parks & Recreation team is taking extra measures to wipe down and disinfect park playgrounds twice a week
  • Administrative Preparations
    • Staff has prepared alternate work schedules for employees (including distribution of laptops to essential personnel ensuring business continuity)
    • Staff continues to be involved with local and state governmental and school district entities via conf calls, email briefings, webinars
    • The Governor’s office has relaxed requirements for open meetings including public comments and staff is working towards possible video or teleconference for Town Council meetings in the future if required
    • Staff is reaching out to both Tarrant and Denton county regarding the upcoming May elections
    • Signs will be placed on park message boards, park benches and park picnic tables encouraging people to take safety precautions per Tarrant and Denton County health guidelines
