The Trophy Club Aquatics Program features five categories of swim lessons available for swimmers of all ages. The Trophy Club Community Pool offers five sessions of lessons throughout the summer to accommodate schedules. Private swim lessons are available for one-on-one coaching. To register for private lessons, guests must come to the Community Pool.

Categories for swim lessons:

Preschool Level 1 —  (ages three to eight years old)
This class is designed for Preschool age children. Children will work on the basic fundamentals of swimming such as blowing bubbles, front and back floats, kicking, arm movements, and basic pool safety.

Beginner Level 2 —(ages three years and up)
This class is for the beginner swimmers and requires no prior experience. Skills taught in this level include front and back floats, front and back glides, elementary backstroke, front crawl, backstroke and pool safety. Some of the requirements to pass this level include 25 yards of front crawl, backstroke and elementary backstroke.

Advanced Beginner Level 3 — (ages three years and up)
This class is designed for children who have successfully completed the Beginner level. This level will build on the fundamental skills learned in the Beginner classes. Some of the skills that will be worked on are rhythmic breathing with the front crawl, backstroke, and breaststroke. Some of the requirements to pass the level include 25 yards front crawl with rhythmic breathing, 25 yards breaststroke, and 50 yards of backstroke and elementary backstroke.

Intermediate Level 4 — (ages three years and up)
This class is for children who have successfully completed the Advanced Beginner level. In this level children will continue to work towards mastering the front crawl, breaststroke, and backstroke while being introduced to the dolphin kick and treading water. To complete this level the student must swim 50 yards of front crawl with rhythmic breathing, 50 yards of breaststroke, 75 yards of backstroke and elementary backstroke, and 25 yards of dolphin kick.

Advanced Level 5  —(ages three years and up)
This class is designed for the advanced swimmer who has successfully completed the Intermediate level. Students will continue to work on technique and endurance for front crawl, breaststroke, dolphin kick, backstroke, and elementary backstroke. To complete this level the students must swim 100 yards of front crawl with rhythmic breathing, backstroke, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, and 50 yards of dolphin kick.

Private — 30 minutes (ages 13 and up)
One on one attention. Just let us know what you want to learn and we will teach you. Semi- private lessons also available, please call for details.

Each lesson is 35 minutes

  • Session 1 – June 5 - June 15
  • Session 2 – June 19 - June 29
  • Session 3 – July 10 - July 20
  • Session 4 – July 24 - August 3

Beginner Level 2 thru Advanced Level 5

Swim Lesson Inclement Weather Policy

Inclement Weather
All swim lessons will occur rain or shine. Lessons continue when it is raining unless we have thunder and lightning present or the bottom of the pool is not visible. Weather cancellations are often made at the last minute due to fluctuations and quickly changing weather patterns. Instructors will email participants on the day of the scheduled swim lesson if lessons are to be cancelled due to inclement weather. If lessons are cancelled due to inclement weather, participants will be notified by email  approximately 30 minutes before class time. Please do not call the pool phone as no one is available until normal pool hours. Participants can also check the Trophy Club Parks and Recreation Facebook page for cancellations. The P&R Facebook page will be the first thing updated before an email is sent to each participant. Make-up Lessons
NO make-ups for classes missed by a student are offered. If a class in cancelled due to inclement weather, we will make-up the lesson on the following Friday.
