MAY 5, 2018 SPECIAL ELECTION
A Special Election was held on May 5, 2018 for the purpose of submitting two propositions to the resident qualified voters of the Town of Trophy Club:
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB PROPOSITION A:
Whether the Town of Trophy Club Crime Control and Prevention District should be continued for five years and the crime control and prevention district sales tax should be continued for five years.

Proposition A relates to the continuation of the Trophy Club Texas Crime Control and Prevention District for five years and providing for the Crime Control and Prevention District sales and use tax rate of one-fourth of one percent be continued for five years.
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB PROPOSITION B:
The reauthorization of the local sales and use tax in the Town of Trophy Club at the rate of one-fourth of one percent to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets. The tax expires on the fourth anniversary of the date of this election unless the imposition of the tax is reauthorized.

Proposition B relates to the reauthorization of the local sales and use tax at the rate of one-fourth of one percent in order to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets for four years.
The May 5, 2018 General Election was canceled and the following candidates were certified as unopposed and are declared elected as follows:

The Town Secretary's Office is responsible for conducting municipal elections as prescribed by the Election Code of the State of Texas and the Town Charter.
The governing and lawmaking body of the town shall consist of the mayor and six (6) council members who shall be elected for terms of three years. All places, including the mayor, will be elected from the Town at large by place.
Trophy Club is located in dual counties; the majority of town lies in Denton County but there are approximately 150 homes that fall under Tarrant County jurisdiction. To register to vote, simply fill out a voter registration application and mail it at least 30 days before the election date to the voter registrar in your county of residence (either Denton or Tarrant County).
To confirm your voter registration status, you may select one of two methods to perform a search:
- Your Voter Unique Identification (VUID) number, which appears on your voter registration certificate
- Your first and last name, and date of birth
Municipal elections are held annually in May as authorized by State Law:
- May 2019 — Place 5 & 6
- May 2020 — Mayor, Place 1 & 2
- May 2021 — Place 3 & 4
