Town Hires Interim Fire Chief Rick Lasky

Town Manager Stephen Seidel has hired retired Fire Chief Rick Lasky to serve as the Interim Fire Chief for the Trophy Club Fire Department. Interim Chief Lasky’s first day is Monday, May 2nd.

At the Council meeting on April 26th, the Town Council announced and recognized six Trophy Club residents who were nominated by peers in the community for the 2015 Citizen of the Year honor. All six nominees had outstanding volunteer backgrounds and make huge impacts on the community, schools, neighborhoods and various organizations they serve. In October 2015, residents of the Trophy Club Municipal Utility District No. 1 (TC MUD) filed an appeal of the water and sewer rates set by the MUD Board with the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC), and the Trophy Club Public Improvement District (PID) residents petitioned to be a party to that appeal. Subsequently, the PUC denied the PID residents the right to join in the appeal filed by the MUD residents. We are throwing a Community Block Party to celebrate the upcoming Trophy Club Town Hall facility and everyone is invited! The event is catered by Bread Winners and Meat U Anywhere BBQ with beverages and free Trophy Club swag to commemorate the first Town Hall built in Trophy Club history. First Zika Virus Disease Confirmed in Denton County

April 12, 2016 – Denton County Public Health (DCHD) today has confirmed the first travel-associated case of Zika virus in a Denton County resident.  The case is a female with international travel to a country with active transmission in late January.

Zika virus is spread to people primarily through the bite of an infected Aedes species mosquito, a known aggressive daytime biter.  Sexual transmission has been reported in a small number of cases.  The most common symptoms of Zika are fever, rash, joint pain, and conjunctivitis…
