The next Citizens on Patrol training with the Trophy Club Police Department is scheduled for September 24, 2017 from 8 a.m. — 5 p.m. What you can expect to learn in this full day of training is:
- how to patrol
- what is suspicious and what isn’t
- how to be an expert witness
- how to direct traffic
The Citizens on Patrol are not police officers and do not act as if they were. They are unarmed observers serving as additional eyes and ears for the PD. They are trained to observe and report, not to intervene in incidents.
If you are interested in registering to attend the Citizens on Patrol training, email Officer Scott Voigt. Officer Voigt will send you an application and conduct a full background check on each participant. (Background checks are required because participants will be working in a volunteer capacity with the TCPD and may have limited access to sensitive information.)
