UPDATE 8.31.17

From Fire Chief Wade Carroll: Our Trophy Club firefighters that have been deployed to the Houston area are doing well. For the past 2 days they have been backfilling a fire station in Webster, about 2.5 miles northwest of League City just outside of the NASA space center. They have been busy running emergency medical and fire calls for Webster and the surrounding area. Yesterday they were moved to a new location in an unincorporated area of Harris County south of Hobby Airport.

The Trophy Club Fire Department received a request to assist with the rescue efforts in Galveston County sending an engine and 4 firefighters to a staging area in the City of Webster to relieve deployment groups as part of the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid Service (TIFMAS). The group will be deployed for 5 to 10 days where they will be answering emergency calls of all types and freeing up water rescue crews to continue their efforts. E681 left for Webster just minutes ago. We are part of a strike team made up of 6 fire departments: Trophy Club, North Shore, Waxahachie, Denton, Double Oak and Lake Cities. Our team; Captain Donnie Hurd, Captain Gary Sipes, FF Kalo Evans, and FF Sara Stockstrom will meet up with the rest of the strike team in Waxahachie and should be in Webster tonight. Please keep our folks and all of Galveston and Harris County in your thoughts and prayers.
