On October 27th, 2018, from 10am-2pm, The Trophy Club Police Department will coordinate a collaborative effort with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) focused on removing potentially dangerous controlled substances from our nation’s medicine cabinets.
The national take-back day provides a unified opportunity for the public to surrender expired, unwanted, or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications to the Trophy Club Police Department for destruction. This fall the collection site will be in the lobby of the Trophy Club Police Department located at 1 Trophy Wood Drive Trophy Club, Texas 76262.
Controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter medications will be collected from individuals. Intra-venous solutions, injectable items, and syringes will not be accepted due to potential hazard posed by blood-borne pathogens.
This program is anonymous and as such the Trophy Club Police Department will not be conducting surveys or allowing others to conduct surveys at this event. Participants may dispose of medication in its original container or by removing the medication from its container and disposing of it directly into the disposal box. Liquid products, such as cough syrup, should remain sealed in their original container. The depositor should ensure that the cap is tightly sealed to prevent leakage.
