The following article is a continuation of the May 20, 2013 public announcement from the Town Council proposing to consolidate the two local governments in Trophy Club.

Background - How Did We Get Here?

In November 2007, the Town entered into a contract with TC MUD 1 to purchase wholesale water and wastewater services so that in turn, the Town could provide retail water and wastewater services to the residents who live in the Public Improvement District (PID). The events of the past week have taught me once again that a single person can indeed make a huge difference.

On Monday as I was preparing for the Town Council meeting that evening I was stunned as I watched the news reports of the tornado in Moore, OK. I sat at my desk and watched…

Trophy Club Municipal Utility District No. 1 (TC MUD 1) is implementing Stage 1 water restrictions effective Monday, June 3 due to low water supply levels. Below average precipitation and higher than normal temperatures since 2011 have resulted in a multi-year drought. Since officials expect to reach the 75% level of available water supply by early June, City of Fort Worth, the TC MUD 1 water supplier, has initiated Stage 1 of the Drought Plan.

The primary goal for Stage 1 restrictions is to significantly reduce outdoor watering, which…

Trophy Club Fire Department (295 Trophy Club Drive)

Residents may drive their cart to and from the Fire Department on that date without penalty; however, the permit is not valid until the ordinance goes into effect, so for the next week golf cart drivers will still…
