Update (August 13, 2014) --- Last night the Town Council called the November 4, 2014 Special Election for the purpose of electing one Council Member for the unexpired term for Place 4 on the Town Council. The term for Place 4 will expire in 2015.

The Filing Period for a Place on the November 4, 2014 Special Election Ballot begins Wednesday, August 13, 2014 and ends Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 5:00 p.m.

From the Texas Department of Transportation (July 24, 2014) — Traffic Alert: WESTLAKE – Beginning Wednesday, August 6, 2014 work will begin to close a small section of J.T. Ottinger Road between the SH 170 frontage roads. This will prevent the crossing of SH 170 east and westbound which is a safety concern. This will also prevent westbound traffic in the left lane from slowing down to turn left (southbound) onto J.T. Ottinger Road.

The North Texas health departments of Collin, Dallas, Denton, and Tarrant counties are again coordinating their planning efforts to make a collective impact on this year’s West Nile virus season.

The 2012 West Nile virus season was unexpected and took a significant toll on the health of citizens of the North Texas region. Ground and aerial spraying were used in areas of the region to reduce the mosquito population potentially carrying the virus. In 2013, North Texas health departments enhanced collaborations to prevent a potential recurrence.…

The Trophy Club Town Council and Trophy Club Municipal Utility District No. 1 Board of Directors met Wednesday, March 19, 2014 to finalize the terms of an agreement for a long-term utility contract between the two organizations. From TxDOT --- Ground is breaking on a project to add capacity to SH 121 from a four-lane rural roadway to a 10-lane urban freeway with frontage roads. The project is located in the same neighborhood as the DFW Connector project which is in its last stages and the adjoining FM 2499 widening project just gearing up. The 2.5 mile stretch of roadway cuts through three counties; Dallas, Tarrant and Denton, and borders the cities of Grapevine and Coppell.
