Deadline extended to April 12th — please submit a deserving resident for 2015 Citizen of the Year!

Trophy Club was founded on resident volunteerism, and that tradition remains strong today with many community leaders working behind the scenes to make Trophy Club 'A Great Place to Call Home'. At the February 9th meeting, the Town Council proclaimed February 16, 2016 as ‘Dennis McCreary Day’ in Trophy Club. Mr. McCreary recently retired from the Northwest Independent School District (NISD) as the Assistant Superintendent for Facilities, Planning & Construction. Dennis completed 16 years of service with NISD and 30 years of service in Public Education.

The Texas Department of State Health Services has reported the first case of Zika virus disease contracted in Texas, with the possibility of sexual transmission from an infected person who had recent travel history from areas where Zika is currently being transmitted. Primary transmission of all previous cases in Texas has been related to foreign travel.  At this time, there have been no cases of Zika virus contracted or imported into Denton County.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will conduct a Public Meeting for the purpose of soliciting public comment on the proposed widening of State Highway (SH) 114 from Trophy Lake Drive to Kirkwood Boulevard, and SH 170 from East of Roanoke Road to West of SH 114 Interchange, in Denton and Tarrant County, Texas.

The 2016 National Drug Take Back event is Saturday, April 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the Trophy Club Police Department will accept expired, unwanted, or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications from Trophy Club residents’ medicine cabinets. Residents can drop off the unwanted medicines at the police station located at 100 Municipal Drive. The program is anonymous for participants and all medications collected will be destroyed.

Trophy Club Secures First PID Refinancing in Texas History, Saves Residents $16M

Trophy Club is making history as the first municipality in the state of Texas to achieve an investment grade rating on a Public Improvement District (PID) bond and to realize over $16.4M in total savings with a subsequent refinancing. The $16.4M refund for PID residents results in approximately $11,675 savings in future assessments over the life of the bond to each property owner who had not previously paid off their assessments. As planning for the new Trophy Club Town Hall moves forward, the Town Council has begun to examine possible uses for the Annex (Public Services) Building where the majority of Town Staff currently office.
