The Trophy Club Police Department recently upgraded the police camera system in all four patrol vehicles to the Watch Guard 4RE Digital Video system. The change in camera systems only cost the Town approximately $6,000, since the Denton County Sheriff's Office contributed approximately $25,000 toward the new camera system. Watch Guard is a highly regarded manufacturer of law enforcement products and holds 25% of the market share for police camera systems in the United States. Speeding has become a safety issue in Trophy Club neighborhoods and in order to maintain a safe and secure community, drivers must SLOW DOWN IN TOWN. The Town is launching a month-long speeding awareness campaign that will focus on educating drivers regarding the risks and dangers involved in speeding. The goal is to ensure that drivers adhere to the posted 30 mile per hour speed limit throughout town and reduce speed within neighborhoods when appropriate.

UPDATE: Storm Shelter Rebate Program Begins June 5

The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) opened the Safe Room Rebate program around 1:15 a.m. and by 5:00 a.m. the site was closed and the rebates were gone.  NCTCOG hopes to appeal to FEMA for additional funds based on the overwhelming response to this rebate program. We will keep you posted if the program receives further funding. Trophy Club received 33 applications for storm shelter permits.

Golf carts will be legal on Trophy Club roadways beginning June 1, but for general use they must first be inspected and permitted. The Trophy Club Police Department (TCPD) is conducting an inspection and permit event on:

Saturday, May 25th
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Trophy Club Fire Department (295 Trophy Club Drive) 

Residents may drive their cart to and from the Fire Department on that date without penalty; however, the permit is not valid until the ordinance goes into effect, so for the next week golf cart drivers will still…

On Monday, April 22 the Town Council approved a bid from Jamail & Smith Construction for $97,964.74 to rehab the Trophy Club Police Department building that was damaged in February from a sewage leak underneath the building. Jamail & Smith Construction was awarded the project by Town Council after submitting a competitive bid with an aggressive timeline for rehabbing the building. The thirty-two day project began May 7, 2013 and addressed the major sewage leak found under the patrol room by raking lime into the contaminated soil.  The…

The Trophy Club Police Department is investigating car burglaries that are resulting in bank frauds. In these cases, the car burglars are targeting cars in and around the Trophy Club Dog Park and the Trophy Club Country Club parking lot and day care centers.  Unlike the more common property crime car burglaries where the criminals merely take electronics and other valuables from the vehicle, this new breed of car burglar has a more sinister motive in mind: Bank Fraud.
