On Monday, May 5 the Town Council, along with a packed audience, honored the 2013 Citizen of the Year (COY) nominees and recipients by recognizing the various community service projects and hard work each nominee provided to the community. The Trophy Club COY Committee (made up of past recipients) reviews all nominations and selects an Adult and Youth recipient based on the individuals contributions to the community.

This month, the Parks & Recreation Department will host a number of exciting events for the entire family, including:
- Annual Town of Trophy Club EGGstravaganza on Saturday, April 12
- Exciting and educational Back to Nature event on Saturday, April 26
- Relaxed and inviting Spring Family Campout at Trophy Club Park overnight from Saturday, April 26 to Sunday, April 27

Update (10:45 a.m., Friday, March 14) --- The Town of Trophy Club has been fortunate to receive so much support from surrounding Fire Departments, specialized support services, law enforcement agencies, and other community partners throughout the duration of the brush fire incident that began on Tuesday, March 11, 2014.

Each year, the Town hosts various events intended to unite friends, family, and neighbors in celebration. These events offer residents the chance to enjoy the community, participate in popular national holidays, and provide opportunities for fun educational experiences. In 2014 the Parks and Recreation Department will host a series of smaller events, programs and classes each month for Trophy Club residents of all ages. All events, locations, and dates will be regularly updated on the town's Special Events page as they are finalized.

The Parks Department will be collecting live, non-flocked Christmas trees for disposal beginning tomorrow, Friday, December 26 at noon, through Tuesday, January 7 at 5:00 p.m. Please make sure there are no nails in the bottom of the tree and all tinsel is removed. Drop off locations include the parking lots at Harmony Park and the Community Pool.
